History of Tahitian Pearls

Tahitian pearls, also known to many as black pearls are probably one of the most sought after gemstone in the world because of its rarity and exotic beauty. Tahitian pearls were first exported during the 1970's and since then, over a hundred million dollars worth of Tahitian pearls have been shipped from the French islands.
