Celebrating New Year's Eve in Budapest

Budapest, the "Pearl of the Danube" is peaceful and bustling, a big metropolis and still a cordial city. The historic meets the modern here, the hills harmonize with the river, which flows through the city. Budapest's incomparable attractiveness prompted Unesco to place it on the World inheritance list.

The best way to see Budapest is to make a ship cruise, and you can join it with New Year's party. There are a lot of possibilities to welcome New Year on river, with varied programs including opera and operetta musical programs, folklore performances, disco and dance parties. Of course, you can enjoy tasty food and drink too.

Most Budapest Hotels offer extra Packages for the New Year's Eve period. Regularly you have to stay for a few nights. A New Year's Eve evening meal and absorbing programs are included. If you pick a hotel in the city centre, you will find many places of entertainment within walking distance. You can join the happy crowd in the streets and enjoy the fireworks as well.

Most people in Budapest pick a restaurant, bar, café or pub on 31st December. You have to book well in advance, especially in favorite places. Next day you can visit traditional New Year's Symphony Concert in Danube palace. Prices in Budapest are not high for western standards, and the capability of service is very good.
